History

January 1947 Started selling special steeel(mainly stainless steel) under the name of the Daiko Shokai
in Hamura-cho(now Kurosaki-cho), Kita-ku, Osaka City.
June 1951 Moved to the current address in Nishi-ku, Osaka City, as part of a business espansion
and changed the corporated name of Daiwa Special Steel Co., Ltd., organized
as joint-stock corporation as it is now.
December 1963 Sterted to jointly managed Daiwa Shearing Company, establishedas a subsidiary in an
effort to expand the sharing operation.
July 1965 Opened the Nagoya Office in Nakamura-ku, Nagoya City.
September 1970 Relocated the Nagoya Office in Nakagawa-ku, Nagoya City.
November 1972 Opened a warehouse yard and a shearing factory in Nishitsutsumi, Higashi Osaka City.
August 1973 Promoted the Nagoya Office to the Nagoya Branch.
August 1983 Moved Nagoya Branch to Tshutugane, Minatok-ku, Nagoya City.
August 1985 With the completion of the third-phase. Contruction of Higashi-Osaka warehouse yard,
merged the head office warehouse and changed the name to the Higashi-Osaka product center.
August 1990 Purchased factory and warehouse site at Kasuga-cho(now Tamba City), Hikami-gun, Hyogo,
in case of the increase of stock inventory.
May 1991 Opened the Shiga Office in Ritto-cho, Kurita, Shiga, to expand business in Shiga area.
August 1995 Relocated the Shiga Office in Awazu-cho, Otsu, Shiga
August 1999 Opened the Kasuga factory in Kasuga-cho(now Tamba City), Hikami, Hyogo
December 2000 Acquired ISO 9002 certification at all business sites
August 2003 Updated in 2000 version ISO 9001 at all business sites
June 2005 Acquired ISO 14001 certification at all business sites
May 2009 Relocated the Nagoya Branch to Inazawa City.
Renamed warehouse delivery division to the Inazawa product center.
June 2015 Opened the Tokyo Office in Chuo-ku, Tokyo City.
